Where you invest your love, you invest your life.

The Oldest Known Melody (Hurrian Hymn no.6 - c.1400 B.C.)

I will always reblog this when I see it on my dash.

For young women, I would say, don’t worry so much about your weight. Girls spend way too much time thinking about that, and there are better things. For young men, and women, too, what makes you different or weird, that’s your strength. Everyone tries to look a cookie-cutter kind of way, and actually the people who look different are the ones who get picked up. I used to hate my nose. Now, I don’t.

I think and think and think, I‘ve thought myself out of happiness one million times, but never once into it.

Repeat after me:
My body is not wrong, or ugly, too big or too thin, too pale or too dark, too broken or too strong. It is the vessel of a precious life and that is enough.

Boston Strong Women

This is amazing to see.

The truth is I never thought I was desirable.
I never thought I deserved love.
Society doesn’t teach you that fat girls deserve love.
Society teaches you that only princesses find their prince.
And I’d never seen a princess that was shaped like me.
So I always thought I was supposed to be alone.
No one was ever shocked when I said I was single.
And the problem is that eventually you start believing those things.
Good things don’t happen to fat girls.
If you’re lucky sometimes people will pity you and you’re taught to hang on to shitty relationships because ‘you should just be happy he’s into bigger girls’.
And people wonder why I’m so fucked up, when they’re the ones that taught me that’s the way I should feel.

I refuse to be defeated.
I refuse to be defeated.
I REFUSE to be defeated.
I am not the only one who feels this way.
I am still here.
And I am worthy of love.
And so are you.
